US OCG INC., a private equity firm which mainly focuses on commercial real estate, is currently seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial, results oriented new business development manager to join our rapidly growing team. The position is based in our Los Angeles office.
Company is planning to invest substantial capital in different industries continuously, such as manufacturing, education and healthcare. The business development manager will primarily explore and analyze new potential investment areas, seek for and screen deals and assist in negotiation, due diligence and underwriting. This will allow considerable long-term advancement opportunities for excellent candidates.
The candidate should be passionate to explore and analyze new investment areas in line with the needs of company development and should have constant initiative in honing hard and soft skills. Experience in investment project analysis and development is preferred.
Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring industrial opportunities
Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments
Develops negotiating strategies and positions
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Entrepreneurial spirit to help expand business
Highly motivated with a demonstrated excellence in prior employment
Passionate about the work, and be excellent at communications internally and externally
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information to drive informed strategic decision making and underwriting
Mastery of Excel and an ability to create in-depth financial analyses via modeling
Strong grasp of financial principles and concepts critical to underwriting (NOI, cap rates, IRR, NPV, ROI, ROC, Yields, etc.)
Demonstrated organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task
Detail-oriented with track record of meeting deadlines in time sensitive situations while maintaining a professional demeanor
Flexible work schedule is sometimes required
Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
Experience, Education, and Certifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or above in finance or economics, business administration, and investment etc.
- Working experience in investment banking is preferred
